Akihabara (秋葉原) or Japanese call it Akiba is a district in central Tokyo and is famous for electronics.
In Japan, Akiba is a hotspot for Otaku (Japanese term for people with obsessive interests, commonly the anime and manga fandom.)
In Akiba, you can find small stalls selling particular electronic components to large electronics departments stores selling a wide range of electronics.
They offer all kinds of new and second-hand electronics. For examples of computers, television, mobile house appliances and etc.. (anything you can name it.)
Otaku Activities in Akihabara
Akihabara is a hotspot for Japanese Otaku full of anime, manga, video games, anime figures, card games.
In addition to shopping, you can also visit maid cafes (aka maid Kissa) where the waitress dresses up as a maid and act as your servant serving you as her master.
At Akihabara (City of Anime, Mange & Electronics)
- Get yourself some good electronics items. (Visit Yodobashi or any electronics stores.)
- Have a break at the maid cafe and enjoy the maid culture.
